Jessica Crawford joined Oak Rose Group in 2025 as a Client Advisor, bringing more than 20 years of experience in federal policy, advocacy, communications, and cross-sector collaboration. She helps organizations translate their needs into actionable plans, effective communications, and strategic partnerships that advance their mission.
Before joining the Oak Rose team, Jessica spent over a decade at America Forward, New Profit’s nonpartisan policy initiative, where she led impactful advocacy campaigns and built a coalition of more than 100 organizations to advance opportunity and drive systems change. Prior to America Forward, she was Director of Government Relations at Van Scoyoc Associates, a bipartisan Washington, DC government affairs firm, where she developed federal advocacy strategies, advised clients across industries on policy and regulatory matters, and built relationships with key policymakers to advance legislative objectives.
Jessica began her career on Capitol Hill, serving as Legislative Assistant and Staff Liaison to Rep. Michael N. Castle on education and labor matters before the House Committee on Education and the Workforce. In this role, she advanced the Congressman’s priorities during the reauthorization of the Higher Education and Head Start Acts. She also served as Assistant Communications Director and Legislative Assistant for the House Committee on Education and the Workforce and as Legislative Correspondent to Rep. James C. Greenwood.
She thrives at the intersection of strategy, execution, and relationship-building and brings a focused, mission-aligned approach to every project.
Jessica received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from George Washington University and her master’s degree in communications from Johns Hopkins University. She lives in Maryland with her husband and two daughters and is a proud military spouse and community leader. Jessica enjoys yoga, reading, spending time with family and friends, and running, and has completed 35 marathons.
